Zameer Rizvi’s Upcoming Album ‘Her’ Promises To Deliver More Than Just Good Music
Entertainment Feb 20, 2016
Singer-songwriter Zameer Rizvi is all set to release his upcoming album Her and it promises to knock your socks off!
With themes of love, sex and marriage, Her takes listeners on a musical journey chronicling an 11-year relationship and its eventual demise. The 10-song collection also includes celebratory up-tempo songs like “Crazy” featuring EDM princess Mia Martina.

I had the chance to chat with the singer to find out what he plans to deliver with his new album, and trust me when I say it's more than just good music.
DANIEL PILLAI: Talk about the new album and its inspirations. This is going to be your new collection of music in a very long time.
ZAMEER RIZVI: My new album Her is a tribute to the empowered women in my life. My new radio single "Take" celebrates women for being as strong, independent and capable as men, and letting them lead the way.
DP: From your musical career at its inception to now, how have you been shaped as an artist, and how is that reflected in your music? That maturity must have found its way into your music.
ZR: I've grown up a lot. A lot of the themes I'm exploring weren't even on my radar five years ago. But I've learned about myself and found a great team of producers and collaborators that have helped me articulate my life experiences.

DP: Tell us about your kick off tour and what fans and music lovers can expect. I hear you're quite the performer on stage.
ZR: I wrote 10 new songs for Her which I'll be playing in a dozen cities in the U.S. and Canada. I'm always writing and will be testing out some brand new stuff too. So I'm exicted to perform this new music for the audiences and listeners to enjoy.
DP: You have a lot of socially relevant messages and lyrics in your music. Tell us about some of the social messages you are exploring now with your music and what you hope listeners take from it.
ZR: All of my songs are about love, and love is always socially relevant. Violence and conflict sells newspapers, but if you really want to change the world it starts by looking at your fellow human beings with compassion. It's all about treating people with respect no matter gender, race, income or disability and helping them bring their beauty into the world.
DP: What do you hope listeners enjoy most about your new album, Her?
ZR: I hope it hits people in their gut. Whether it's the lyrics, melodies, production, anything, I want people to feel and connect with it.
