It's been dubbed one of Channel 4's best grand period dramas since 2005, and Indian Summers is back on Saturday, March 13th, for another scorching series.
The drama details the lives of British socialites who spent their summers at Simla, in the Himalayas, at the time of the British Raj.
Spoiler alert! Viewers can expect the death of a main character this time around, and our money is on Cynthia Coffin (Julie Waters).
A new series means new faces will bring their own share of drama, secrets and good (or bad) intentions into the fold, making for a binge-watch-worthy time.

While you mark off the days until Indian Summers' Series 2 kickoff, here's what you need to know about the new characters!
Charlie Havistock (Blake Ritson)

Ritson will be playing the role of Charlie, Alice Whelan’s husband. Everything about this guy screams "trouble!" He's still holding a grudge and continues to torment poor Alice.
Kaira Das (Sugandha Garg)

Kaira is the freedom fighter of the bunch, a strong advocate for independence. Her role intertwines with Aafrin Dalal (Nikesh Patel) from the first series, the "trusted babu" of the British government.

Naresh Banerjee (Arjun Mathur)

Banerjee's character takes a slightly different approach to independence. He's not seeing eye to eye with some of the characters. Word has it he puts Aafrin in a bit of a sticky situation.
Lord Hawthorne (James Fleet)

Lord Hawthorne becomes a major obstacle for one of the other characters. He's going to be stirring the pot while keeping his eye on a certain lady.
The Maharajah of Amritpur (Art Malik)

Sirene (Rachel Griffiths)
Griffiths plays the mistress to the Maharajah. She's got brains and beauty and is quite the liberated woman.
Don't forget to catch the first episode of Series 2, airing March 13th at 9 PM on Channel 4.
