Today's generation is venturing into fields that are more creative — like fulfilling musical ambitions. Young South Asian artists are appearing now more than ever in Western pop culture.
Artists like Zayn Malik, Jay Sean and M.I.A. represent in the music industry, but others are starting to make a name for themselves in mainstream music.
We bring you five talented and promising young South Asian artists you need to know about!
1. Zack Knight

Zack Knight has hits like "Queen," "Dheere" and "Ya Baba" under his belt. He's worked alongside names like Arijit Singh and collaborated with another Brit-Asian artist, Raxstar. The singer has also worked with stars like Tinie Tempah, Stylo G and Shide Boss and has been a supporting act for Mario, Jessie J and Taio Cruz.

2. Amanjot Sangha

The 20-year-old Amanjot Sangha has some killer vocals and raw talent. She's still an unsigned artist and has no support from any music labels. You can check her out on her YouTube channel while she's completing her degree in economics.

3. Navina Rajan

4. Adil Omar and Talal Qureshi

Singer, songwriter and producer Adil Omar began writing his lyrics while living in Pakistan. He was recording by the age of 14. He's worked with legends Cypress Hill and Xzibit, and he recently teamed up with electronic musician and friend Talal Qureshi. Together, they've produced tracks like "Nighat & Paras" and "Spiderman." The duo was recently seen spending time with Diplo, which has caused speculation about a future collab.

5. Yogi

Yogi is an LA-based producer who works with various styles of music. He's not only signed to Skrillex's OWSLA label but also to Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment. Being signed with one of the biggest DJs and rap producers is definitely working in his favour!
