Pakistani supermodel and actress Iman Ali has steered clear of the silver screen for many years but is back as Kaneez, a royal courtesan, in the upcoming Mah-e-Meer.
Iman Ali stars as Kaneez, a beauty who will add metaphorical significance to the film.
The Pakistani film Mah-e-Meer is finally set to release on May 6th after long production.
Set between the past and the present, the film revolves around the life of Mir Taqi Mir, a famous 18th-century Urdu poet and a pioneer in shaping the Urdu language itself.
Fahad Mustafa stars as a struggling writer who tries to channel Mir.

The film is said to be "nothing short of an exploratory journey," and viewers will observe some sizzling chemistry between Ali and Mustafa as well as the "cultural nuances of yesteryear" as Mah-e-Meer is partly set in the Mughal era.
