The Screen Actors Guild Awards celebrated a night of actors in film and television and in comedy and tragedy.
The night started off traditionally. The stars opened the show with the “I’m An Actor” segment. The segment is a popular part of the SAG Awards opening ceremony. Queen Latifah, Kunal Nayyar, Jeffrey Tambor and Anna Chlumsky shared their personal stories about being actors.
The ceremony awarded Spotlight — a journalistic story about the Boston Globe’s investigation of pedophilia among priests. The film won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
