When you hear the name Madhuri Dixit-Nene you think of a superb actress, an accomplished dancer, a flawless performer, wife and mom. The starlet has played a wide variety of roles during her stint in the film industry which has secured her iconic Bollywood superstar status.
Madhuri Dixit made her acting debut in Abodh opposite Tapas Pal in the year 1984 and has tasted success with the films such as Saajan, Beta, Khalnayak and Hum Aapke Hain Kaun.
Madhuri has been the muse for the famous Indian painter M.F. Husain who made a film in 2000 named Gaja Gamini, in which Madhuri also acted in. With several critically acclaimed films under her belt, Madhuri made her next big step in life by becoming a Mrs and tied the knot to Shre Ram Nene.

The celebrated performer who spear headed an online dance academy following her acting career has now branched out to her fan following with a dancercise workout, a fusion of dance and exercise.
The multi-talented Dixit proves herself 'businesswoman' caliber by targeting not just fans but fitness fanatics too. For those looking for a change to spice up their workouts, tired of going to the gym, the dancing diva will be sharing her secrets of keeping fit through a special 'Dancercise' workout. She has introduced this new module through her online dance academy. The new innovative concept can be accessed on her online academy.
Madhuri says, “In the gym, one gets bored of the regular exercises. But this routine combines dance and exercise to get the best of both. I have merged popular dance steps from my songs to give people a special cardio workout. It is easy to follow as most people remember the songs and moves. The bottom line is to make working out fun.”
The dance diva feels that this is an attempt to reach out to people who don't necessarily want to learn dance. “Not everyone is passionate about dance. There are others who love working out. This workout will help everyone,” she says. Talking about her fitness routine, “Dance has been the mainstay of my fitness regimen. Exercise and eating healthy is what works for me. I have made it into a lifestyle.”

Ask her if she is looking to monetise the project soon and she says, “We would like to keep it free for as long as possible. Right now, we aren’t thinking of that but at some point when we may have to monetise it, let’s see how we do that.”
The actor admits that she has received offers from people willing to put in their money. But she clarifies, “We haven’t zeroed in on anyone yet.”
Madhuri is currently awaiting the release of her upcoming film, Gulaab Gang, which also stars Juhi Chawla. Dixit has won six Filmfare Awards, four for Best Actress, one for Best Supporting Actress and one special Filmfare award for completing 25 years in Bollywood.
She holds the record for the highest number of Best Actress nominations (13) at Filmfare. In 2008, she was awarded the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian award by the Government of India.
