Spring, known as a time of rebirth and renewal is one of my favourite seasons. It is also one of the most popular seasons to get married in due to the symbolizm of new beginnings.
To get you in the mood I've highlighted some beautiful and elegant spring mandaps where Indian brides and event decorators took advantage of the season’s bounty when creating their lovely platforms.

Are you familiar with the idea behind the mandap?
It is believed that the four pillar represents each parent of the bride and groom providing the foundation of love, support, and blessings for the couple.
It is also believed to represent the four goals in a Hindu life: Dharma (your inner order, justice and harmony), Artha (prosperity), Karma (cause and effect of your actions) and Moksha (enlightened knowledge to let go of the body and be open to reincarnation).

Spring flowers range from roses, tulips, hyacinth, to lilies and Gerber daisies.

Some of these flowers have a lovely fragrance that can grace your ceremony decor and is budget friendly since they come in an abundance.

Mix seasonal with all year round flowers so you have the most value for your dollar and you'll be able to take home these beautiful arrangements once the ceremony is done.

If you're exploring using material with your mandap, stick to sheer and soft fabrics such as chiffon, satin or silk in light colours to allow for light to illuminate.

These fabrics and light hues will complement the season perfectly and if you are having your ceremony indoors, they will also evoke a springtime feel.
