Entertaining Kids At Your Indian Wedding
While boys and girls are adorable to look at in their miniature lenghas, salwar kameez and sherwani’s, it’s best to be prepared with some fun games or activities to avoid them running riot over your entire wedding.

It’s unavoidable kids will want to run around so be prepared with allocating a space or play area just for them. This way, kids are busy playing while your friends and family are forever grateful for your thoughtful gesture and can enjoy the most important part of the event: you.

Sangeet:
As kids enjoy dancing, why not have the DJ start kids off dancing on the dance floor and then when it’s time, ask parents to collect their children for the adult dancing time. Kids would have danced off their energy and ready to lie down for some quiet time.

If it’s possible, have a room designated as the movie room for them to relax while you adults have your fun.

Designate one of your relatives to organize a scavenger hunt to keep the kids out and busy. Fun things for kids to search during your wedding could be with your decor and guests, (i.e. find a golden elephant, find an aunty wearing sparkly shoes, find an uncle whose tie is dark purple, count the number of chairs in the last row, find someone wearing a silver and peach suit, count the number of cups for tea, and so on.)
Reception:
Since receptions tend to have seating arrangements, why not have all kids sit together and have coloring placemats on the table itself to keep them busy during the speeches.

Don’t forget, food is an excellent way to divert attention so inform your caterer that you’d like the kids table served first and then the adults.
Again, the movie corner is excellent because your friends and family will like to dance the night away and will be able to do so comfortably knowing their kids are happy and occupied.
Try one or all of these ideas and tell us how well they worked for your big day?
