It may look easy being a top Bollywood actor, but every actor had to start at the bottom and work their way to success.
Ranveer revealed that before he got offered his breakthrough role in Band Baaja Baraat, he was struggling. He was called to a house to meet a guy who wasn't interested in his portfolio but instead told Ranveer he had to be "smart and sexy." The man said he could make Ranveer a star if he was willing to compromise with him through "take and touch."
Ranveer isn't the only actor to have faced bad casting couch experiences. Below we'll look at other actors — from both Bollywood and Hollywood — who've had similar problems.
Rekha has had many casting couch experiences, but being the magnificent lady that she is, she decided not to take them public. But she did say, "I will not like to name him. He is a big name in the South but no sooner did he cast his bad hands on me, smelling his bad intentions, I decided to never meet him again."
Shakti Kapoor didn't have a casting couch problem himself, but he was involved with one of the most famous cases. Shakti and Anil Verma were set up in a sting operation by a TV channel where both actors allegedly propositioned a girl who was pretending to be a model.

The actress described one situation where "someone suggested we finish a meeting off in a bedroom." She said, "I left. I was pretty shocked." Paltrow went on to say that she can see how someone new may have seen that as a make-or-break moment and wouldn't have known how to react.
