Raising Awareness: Shocking Images Of Female Celebs As Victims Of Domestic Abuse

Artist and activist Alexsandro Palombo released shocking images of Hollywood celebrities and cartoon heroines on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
The campaign #StopViolenceAgainstWomen caught everyone by surprise, even the celebrities whose images were altered for the sake of #ArtForaGoodCause were completely unaware of the horrific transformations.
Alexsandro Palombo is famous for shedding light on global social and political issues using beloved Disney and TV cartoon characters for impact. For the #StopViolenceAgainstWomen campaign he gave eight female celebrities – Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Angelina Jolie, Miley Cyrus, Gwyneth Paltrow, Madonna, Kristen Stewart and Emma Watson black eyes, scars and bruises.
To see the otherwise perfect and strong Angelina Jolie bloodied and stitched sends a very powerful message. However these celebrity images were used for the campaign without their knowledge and permission. Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner, although support the cause, wanted to take legal action as they were not consulted before their names and faces were changed for the campaign.
These fake images of these celebrities also impact their partners negatively as the artist labels the men in the abusive relationships as cowards. Alexsandro, however, did not mean to offend anyone and used the already available paparazzi images for the campaign. It empowers women to speak up about violence and give hope for a better life.
