Whether it's cars blowing up in unison, or the reunion of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, Rohit Shetty's Dilwale is bound to have something for every fan of the masala genre.
The film, which releases on December 18, clashes with Bajirao Mastani, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's epic romance film that's equally sure to be a gorgeous film. If you're on the fence about which film to root for, then why not take a look at all the things that Dilwale has too offer like:
We have to admit that this time around the beard suits SRK, who was sporting an awful one during the promotions of Happy New Year earlier.
Setting this film apart is the fact that Bajirao and Mastani were two real people who couldn't sing and dance on water like these two supermortals:
Screw the pyramids of Suraj Hua Madham, there's a broken plane to dance atop:
But being a Rohit Shetty film, there's an excessive amount of cars exploding every other minute:
Dilwale feels like quite a departure for Rohit Shetty because there's some gorgeous locations in Croatia where the team shot the film:
Buzzfeed India counted 93 exploding cars in all the Rohit Shetty films so far, but this film is likely to add more. Other than exploding, the cars also function as fantastic hero/heroine entry scenes, especially for the younger couple Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan:
For those fans looking for a throwback element, there's the former babes known as Kabir Bedi and Vinod Khanna who appear to be playing angry rivals in a shootout flashback.
In spite all this ridiculousness, we're super pumped for this film, especially because it reunites one of the most iconic Bollywood pairs in Bollywood and features a terrific supporting cast of actors including Johnny Lever, Varun Sharma, Boman Irani and Mukesh Tiwari who've quickly become the Rohit Shetty repertoire theatre of actors. What are you most excited about from the Dilwale trailer.
