The city is abuzz with the news of stars, sights, and sounds of the 38th annual Toronto International Film Festival. Whether your looking to stargaze or to party it up at luxurious venues, TIFF festivities this next week and a half is the place to be.
This year, Fairmont Royal York Hoteland Omega group, in partnership with EtalkCTV, Porter, Grolsch, Rémy Martin, and Twitter Canada, hosted a pre-party for the who’s who of the Toronto social media crowd to mingle, mix and tweet!
ANOKHI MEDIA was there as our Online Blog Editor, Swati Bhatt Vyas (above) attended the tweeting party. The sauve cocktail party brought together Toronto's elite, media mavens and movie enthusiasts.
The Fairmont Royal York hosted The #Twiff Party, the first pre-festival tweeting party. Held in the famed Imperial Room, where celebrities, media and festival goers enjoyed the best in #twiff cocktails, live music and tweets.
With its grand stature and elegant interiors, The Fairmont Royal York depicted the elegance of its past while providing the finest conveniences for today’s travelers.
For the first time, the newly renovated Fairmont Luxury Rooms on the 7th and 8th floors will be unveiled for celebrities and guests throughout TIFF.
Low lighting paired with mood music with real life saxophone accompaniment added to the highlights of the evening and then once the venue picked up in numbers so did the tunes with jams that kicked in throughout the night.
People tweeted and jammed to the music in the 'The Imperial Room', noted to have opened in 1929 as the city’s newest and most elegant dining and dancing establishment, headlining acts such as Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald and Bob Hope.
The Fairmont Royal York’s luxurious cocktails and cuisine have also made it a classic setting in Toronto for celebrity spotting and exclusive enjoyment throughout TIFF.
The Fairmont Royal York has been a proud supporter of the Toronto International Film Festival for years, previously offering select TIFF-tinis and special TIFF accommodation packages.
