Hilary Swank and Alan Cumming showed their support for amfAR at the Inspiration Gala Toronto which raised nearly $500,000 to benefit amfAR’s innovative AIDS research programs.
The amfAR Inspiration gala in Toronto was held on Sept.8, at The Carlu to support amfAR’s AIDS research programs. Tony-award winner Alan Cumming hosted the evening, and Oscar-winner actress Hilary Swank was the honorary chair. Adrien Brody, Maria Bello, Paul Haggis, and M·A·C Global Brand President Karen Buglisi also joined amfAR CEO Kevin Robert Frost at the Carlu to support amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, at the first Inspiration Gala Toronto.
This isn't Swank's first time working with the charity for AIDS research, but she feels holding the event during TIFF is a good fit. "There's so many people here, and it's such a wonderful festival … the more people that are a part of it, the more people that are aware," she said.
