World MasterCard Fashion Week: Day One Highlights
It’s World MasterCard Fashion Week and Toronto’s editors, socialites, street style bloggers and fashion lovers come together at Pecaut Square as designers showcase their Spring/Summer 2016 collections.
I'll be listing some of my favourites at the tents and a few others you’ll see in our upcoming trend reports. So off we go!
Mikhael Kale: A floral motif and a soft/warm colour palette were the focal points of designer Mikhael Kale’s In Full Bloom spring/summer 2016 collection. Some highlights were a floral lace body-con mini, collared frocks and a “to die for” low-cut pearled dress.

Sid Neigum: Known for his laser geometric cuts and origami designs. Designer Sid Neigum’s SS 16 collection was consistent and had a few standout pieces to covet for the season — like his roll-neck tank paired with a bias-cut wrap skirt, an ivory sleeveless wrap coat and an electric-blue cowl-neck blazer.

Matthew Gallagher: A personal favourite designer of mine, Matthew Gallagher’s SS 16 collection of ultra-feminine silhouettes is always a pleasure to see. A sequined column dress was perfect as evening attire while a caped powder-blue jumpsuit looked ethereal gracing the runway.
