Just before all the lights, action and celebrity frenzy of TIFF 2014 kicked off, the 4th Annual Producers Ball took place at the Royal Ontario Museum on Sept. 3.
The pre-TIFF event was a delightful circus-themed soiree jam packed with props, circus acts, contortionists, ice cream and fun cocktails with candy corn.
Created by Jonathan and Drew Scott of Property Brothers, the Producers Ball celebrates the important role of the producers, as well as the success of Canada’s media production industry, showcasing Canada as a world leader in film, television and multimedia production.
This year's silent auction helped to raise money for World Vision.? ?As Global Ambassadors for the organization, The Scott brothers recently visited India as part of the work they are doing for #NoChildForSale.
The celebrations brought together the most coveted directors, actors and producers. The star-studded gala was indeed that, attended by Shannon Kook-Chun, Emily Hampshire, Melanie Merkosky, Pat Mills, Julia Sarah Stone, Carolyn Stotesbery, Jian Ghomeshi, Jason Stone, David Sutcliffe, Ana Golja, Jonathan and Justin Gajewski, Katie Boland, David Chilton, Arlene Dickinson, Scott McGillivray, Tara Spencer Nairn, Gabrielle Miller, Rachel Ancheril, George Stromboulopoulos, Joannie Rochette, Kardinal Offishall, Amanda Brugel, Randal Edwards, Lauren Collins, Ben Lewis, Mark O’Brien, Todd Shapiro, Colin Mochrie and many others.?
The fashionable film schmooze-fest was definitely top notch and I will remember it as one of the best events of 2014.??
Here's a visual treat for those who missed it.
