Couture Week Kickstarts As IBFW Heads To London In 2014

The Indian Bridal Fashion Week (IBFW) will be held in London announced Vijay Singh, the organizer and managing director of Fashion One International.

Singh told Indiatvnews, “We're going to London next year. I believe that any specific industry requires a new market. If you look at the Indian fashion industry, every designer is a name in outside countries as well. So why not (go international). “

Thus far, this event has been held in Mumbai and will open in Delhi for the first time this July 23^rd. The event is scheduled to take place at the Grand Hotel in South Delhi and will display the abundant bounty of a mix of bridal and couture collections from designers all around the nation.

The IBFW is a high profile fashion event that draws the crème-de-la-crème of the fashion industry. Celebrities, influential individuals, film stars, and legacy brands to attend and witness the best trends and designs in bridal couture that have been created by the best fashion designers in the nation.

Jacqueline Fernandez is the official face of the event. Walking the ramp at the preview, we got a peek of what to expect. JJ Valaya will inaugrate the grand event followed by the other designers.

This event lasts for five days and the collection is showcased through about 15 shows, and is attended, according to its official website, 9000 celebrities and socialites. During this event, the creations by fashion designers JJ Valaya, Tarun Tahiliani, Raghavendra Rathore, Shantanu and Nikhil, Falguni and Shane Peacock, Rohit Bal, Suneet Varma, Ashima Leena, Meera and Muzaffar Ali, Adarsh Gill, Jyotsana Tiwari and Rina Dhaka. JJ Valaya will be the opening designer while Tarun Tahiliani will be presenting the closing collection.

Bridal Collection At IBFW in 2012

The Mumbai edition of IBFW will be held later this year, and it will feature one of Bollywood's favourite designers, Manish Malhotra too.

This week will be the busiest for the fashion designers who will be preparing for the largest fashion show event of the season – Couture Week. Among them is Tarun Tahiliani, one of the most sought after fashion designers, who will be presenting his fifth edition of his Couture Bridal Exposition in New Delhi. His latest bridal couture collection and his work on intricate details will be emblematic of the theme of the show ““Couture, Crystal, Craft and Carat.”

Tarun Tahiliani Collection At Couture Week

At the Expo, additionally, Tahiliani will also be revealing his exclusive jewellery, Tarun Tahiliani for Azva Jewellery line. In his collection, he will show his 22-karet gold jewellery inspired by 7 pheres (rounds around the fire). He will also show the visitors and fans alike his new exclusive black gown inspired by the Hercules Love Knot from diamond retailer Forevermark’s Encordia collection. Bollywood actress, Alia Bhatt, is all set for the show. She will walk the ramp for the jewellery brand Azva by World Gold Council.

Tarun Tahiliani Collection At Couture Week

The Expo will be held at the DLF Emporio, New Delhi from July 18^th to 20^th, 2013 and at the Gallery, Four Seasons Hotel from August 2^nd-3^rd, 2013.
