India and Pakistan will be getting a huge international audience at one of the world's most global fairs, Art Dubai 2016.
Dubai's leading contemporary art fair's roots stretch back to the Middle East, Africa and South Asia. Art Dubai features three different gallery program: Contemporary, Modern and Marker. The show's rich variety offers audiences the chance to appreciate and discover the works of over 500 artists.

In the Spring 2016 issue of Harper's Bazaar Arabia, Art Dubai's Director of Exhibition Relations Pablo Del Val said that he truly believed in the power of becoming global through the local. "The magic of Art Dubai is that it is a window to a world many people don’t know exists,” said Del Val.
Art Dubai is one of the most robust international outposts, and you can see that status in the artwork presented from India and Pakistan. The allure of South Asian art has brought a strong presence to the show — 12 per cent of the artists showing in the galleries at Art Dubai are Indian, and four percent are from Pakistan.
The Sri Lankan, Colombo-based Saskia Fernando Gallery is also making a debut. This time around, the quality of the work is bound to mesmerize and provoke conversation.

One of India's oldest contemporary art galleries, Mumbai's Chemould Gallery, has brought talents like Rashid Rana and Shezad Dawood into the mix in previous years. This time, Dawood, who has Indian and Pakistani heritage, will be a part of a group presentation that includes other conceptual artists.

The Mumbai-based Jhaveri Contemporary will be bringing Rana Begum, whose latest work showcases her obsession with colour and form translating into extraordinary beauty. Also joining the show will be Iftikhar and Elizabeth Dadi, the husband-and-wife duo who have collaborated for over 20 years. They have a strong interest in different types of art mediums. Experimenter from Kolkata will feature emerging artist collective CAMP, who have shown their work around the world at various fairs.
