The 93-year-old comic book prodigy is credited as the brain behind some of the greatest comic book characters of all time —like Spider-Man, the X-Men, Thor, the Hulk, Ironman and the Fantastic Four. Now he's getting the story of his Indian superhero character “Chakra: The Invincible,” co-created by Sharad Devarajan and Gotham Chopra, turned into a Bollywood live-action film.
Production companies Graphic India and POW! Entertainment have partnered with Phantom Films to produce the motion picture. Vikramaditya Motwane will direct the live-action film. He made his Cannes debut this year with his 2010 cult classic, Udaan.

The action movie's plot follows an intellectually blessed boy named Raju Rai, who takes on the role of local superhero after getting access to a high-tech suit that allows him to alter his body’s chakras into ammunition.
Raju Rai was originally introduced back in 2011, and he made his debut in an animated movie that premiered in 2013, exclusively on Cartoon Network India. Contrary to the teenage version of Raju in the animated movie, the film will feature an older version of the title character.
Lee is said to be thrilled about the project. “I’m a fan of Bollywood films and am really excited about launching Chakra the Invincible as my first Bollywood superhero movie," Lee said in an official statement. ''Vikramaditya is an amazingly talented filmmaker who I have no doubt I can make the Chakra film a massive hit in India and around the world. I only hope he remembers to include my cameo!’’
Sources have confirmed that Lee, Devarajan and Motwane have started working on the film's screenplay. However, the movie has yet to receive a budget or a release date.
