The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge are gearing up for their trip to India and Bhutan from April 10th to 16th, and it promises to be a visit full of Bollywood glamour.
Prince William and Kate Middleton are definitely going to get the dash of Bollywood spice we know the British love when they visit India on April 10th and Bhutan shortly after. Their trip is being hailed on social media as #RoyalVisitIndia and #RoyalVisitBhutan, both of which are trending. Very exciting!
"The Duke and Duchess are incredibly grateful to have this opportunity to travel to these two beautiful countries," said a spokesperson for the couple. "The tour will see The Duke and Duchess interact with people from all walks of life, from people in very difficult circumstances, to aspiring and established business leaders, well-known cultural figures, inspiring conservationists, leading politicians, and of course other Royals. As you can see this is going to be a hugely exciting and rewarding tour. Their Royal Highnesses are very much looking forward to it."

The India-Bhutan trip will take place a week before Queen Elizabeth's 90th birthday, and it will involve a host of activities — including watching a youth cricket match, meeting key charities and playing with children who live in the slums of Mumbai.
Before the royal couple hit the South Asian countries, preparation for their trip is starting April 6th. Hoping to increase their knowledge of India and Bhutan before their royal tour begins, Prince William and Kate Middleton are set to meet with young people from the two countries in Britain.
The Duke and Duchess will be staying at the Taj Mahal hotel in Mumbai, which is where they'll get their brush with Bollywood.
According to tweets by Kensington Place, the couple will be welcomed by a glittering Bollywood-style gala dinner and ceremony that will feature Bollywood bigwigs Shah Rukh Khan, Sonam Kapoor and Ranveer Singh and a slew of others.

During their stay in India, the royal couple will also pay tribute to the victims who lost their lives in the terrorist attack on November 26, 2008. From Mumbai, the royals will fly to Delhi, where they'll round off their Indian tour by paying a visit to the Taj Mahal, which Prince William’s late mother, Princess Diana, had visited on her maiden trip to India. But the couple plans to create "new" memories along with honouring those of Princess Diana.
The exquisite marble monument to love is where Prince William's mother, Diana, famously posed alone, signaling the end of her marriage to Prince Charles during their 1992 tour of the country.
A royal spokesman said, "The Duke of Cambridge is of course aware of the huge esteem his mother, the late Princess of Wales is held in India and he appreciates the iconic status of the images that exist of The Princess at the Taj."

"The Duke and The Duchess are looking forward to seeing this beautiful place for themselves and creating some new memories as they say thank you to the people of India at the conclusion of this tour," said the couple's spokesperson. "The Taj Mahal is one of the symbols of India and Their Royal Highnesses cannot wait to see it with their own eyes."
