Nayara Hotel & Gardens, located in Costa Rica’s Arenal region, was ranked number two on the Travel & Leisure World’s Best Awards 2014 list of Top 100 Hotels Overall.

The extravagant hotel boasts of 16 deluxe suites that cater to splendor and comfort by offering thermal spring-fed plunge pools fed by natural mineral hot springs, spacious bathrooms, indoor and outdoor showers in the private tropical garden, and extensive verandas. They also provide free international phone calls, complimentary laundry service and a private jacuzzi on the terrace.

Nayara Springs offers guests a 24-hour butler that can arrange rainforest activities that include river safaris and zip trekking for private excursions catered to both families and couples.
Nayara Springs also hosts amenities such as a yoga pavilion, AmorLoco poolside Restaurant, Piano Bar and a spa. The hotel is surrounded by natural hot springs to relieve aching muscles, and creeks, as well as views of the third most active volcano on earth, Arenal.
Dining at Nayara offers guests both local and international cuisine, with six different restaurant themes to choose from. Altamira Restaurant provides international and local food, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Their most popular food is the Ceviche, dessert is Tres Leches, and drink is Navarro Correa Blend.

For those seeking privacy, you can go for a romantic dinner – a gourmet extravaganza serving dinner with their popular dish being the Beef Medallions, the Luigi Bosca Malbec wine as drink, and for dessert Chocolate Strawberries.

For casual meals when you want to relax poolside, the Kali, Kali Pool Bar is your go-to. They serve lunch with popular North American dishes such as hamburgers, caramel flan and pina coladas.

Sushi Amor is a fusion of Latin and Sushi that serves both lunch and dinner. Their Crunchy Spicy Tuna Roll and Pina Colada Cheesecake is considered delectable.

For those seeking wine and tapas, Nostalgia Bar will provide you with an instant pick me up with their decadent Brownie and Pinot Grigio. If you prefer extravagance, Nayara provides a five-course dinner with five glasses of wine, with their popular drink being the Malamado Malbec, and food of choice Fresh Tuna Steak, with a sweet finish of Chocolate Fondant.

The Spa uses the tagline “Nature Is Our Inspiration”, using organic coffee beans from a nearby farm, volcanic mud and chocolate clay made of organic cocoa beans. Treatments include massages, scrubs/wraps, skin care, and couples therapy as well.
