UTV Movies International Joins Forces with ATN-Asian Television Network

One of the largest licensed television broadcasters, ATN (Asian Television Network), has joined hands with UTV Movies International, a 24-hour Hindi movie entertainment channel for Bollywood enthusiasts. The launch of UTV took place July 17, 2014 on Bell Fibe.
ATN offers the diverse cultural communities of Canada 52 specialty television channels. ATN-HD general interest service, 5 Bollywood movie channels, 3 Sports Channels, 3 News Channels, 3 Music Channels, 3 Lifestyle Channels, 3 Chinese Channels, 6 Punjabi Channels, and several regional language channels encompass ATN’s promise to provide entertainment to the diverse South Asian communities within Canada.
ATN also operates a South Asian Radio Service on Satellite Radio across Canada and the United States, with ATN content also available on Bell mobile phones that support video playback.
ATN has programming alliances with leading international television broadcasters such as Star Network (News Corp), Sony Entertainment Television, Viacom, Times Television Network, NDTV, B4U Network, Disney and more.
UTV Movies International is currently presented in 26 countries in key regions such as the Middle East, Africa, USA, Nepal, Malaysia, New Zealand and Australia, as well as in the United Kingdom under the name of UMP Movies. UTV was launched in March 2009, using the tagline “Jeeyo Bollywood”- live the Bollywood dream.
After expanding globally, UTV now includes English subtitles to cater to a wider audience. Blockbuster Bollywood hits such as Race 2, Barfi and Kai Po Che have been telecasted.

Disney India Media Networks, one of the leading entertainment channels within India with more than 100 million viewers a week, has eight specialty channels catered to kids, youth and movie segments. Channels include Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior, Hungama TV, Bindass, UTV Stars, UTV Movies and UTV Action.
