Vidya Balan is back, and this time as a woman with a big dream – to be a detective.
Award-winning actress Vidya Balan is a master of disguise in the new Bollywood detective comedy Bobby Jasoos.
The film celebrates the aspirations of Bobby, whose goal is to become the number one detective in the old city of Hyderabad. The film is directed by Samar Shaikh, with screenplay by Sanyuktha Shaikh Chawala and produced by Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha.
In this romantic comedy, Balan takes on 12 different looks, each one unique.

Bobby Jasoos disguised as a beggar
Balan said that with so many different disguises, it was easy to shoot on the streets where nobody, including her own family and even husband, could recognize her.
"Some of the disguises required me to look more like to Bobby, some were completely different male disguises. We had looks of peon, astrologer, beggar, producer and more,” she said. “We put in a lot of effort for the looks but it was very enjoyable.”
The film also stars Ali Fazal, Kiran Kumar, Arjan Bajwa, Anupriya Goenka, Rajendra Gupta, Supriya Pathak, Benaf Dadachandji, Tanvi Azmi, Aakash Dahiya, Prasad Brave and Zarina Wahab. The cast describes Bobby Jasoos as spunky, emotional, very loving, headstrong, ethical, Intelligent and a daredevil.
Here is a look at what Balan had to say about her role as Bobby Jasoos.
