I, Frankenstein
After a critically acclaimed performance as Harvey Dent, Aaron Eckhart has landed the lead role of Victor Frankenstein’s monster in this new take on Mary Shelley’s classic. The creature finds himself in the middle of a centuries old war between two supernatural groups. Directed by Stuart Beattie, stars Bill Nighy as the main antagonist. Releasing January 24th(USA)
Noah
Who better but Russell Crowe to play Noah in this Biblical movie, who after having premonitions of an oncoming flood, starts preparation to save his family. Directed by Darren Aronofsky, also stars Jennifer Connolly and Emma Watson. To be released March 28th(USA)
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
The next Chris Evans starrer gets ready to follow success stories of Thor 2 and Iron Man 3. In the Marvel universe, Captain America/Steve Rogers has a hard time adapting to the new era, and is faced with a new threat known as Winter Soldier. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, stars Sebastian Stan as the main antagonist. Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson and Cobie Smulders reprise their roles from the Avengers. Releasing April 4th(USA)
Sabotage
Arnold Shwarzennegar is back with another action-packed flick, as a member of an elite DEA task force being hunted down by drug dealers whose safe house they robbed. A whole lot of action and gunfire can be expected. Directed by David Ayer, also stars Sam Worthington and Terrence Howard. Releasing April 11th(USA)
The Amazing Spiderman 2
Spidey returns, with Andrew Garfield reprising his starring role, and Emma Stone as his romantic interest Gwen Stacey. Oscorp has unleashed a few creepy villains that our favourite blue-and-red superhero needs to tackle. Directed by Marc Webb, also stars Jamie Foxx. Releasing May 2nd(USA)
X-Men: Days of Future Past
The next installment in the rebooted X-Men: First Class series will see Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine time travel back to when Professor Xavier was a young James Mcavoy, and Magneto a young Michael Fassbender. Wolverine will attempt to change the course of history in the past, to prevent doom in the future for both humans and mutants alike. Sir Ian Mckellan and Patrick Stewart will return to play older versions of the two powerful mutants, along with the rest of the mutant cast returning as well. Directed by Bryan Singer. Releasing May 23rd(USA)
Edge Of Tomorrow
Tom Cruise is back with another sci-fi action movie, in this War Of The World meets Groundhog Day thriller. Premise: A soldier(Cruise, obviously) gets trapped in a time loop of his last day battling an alien invasion. Directed by Doug Liman, also stars Emily Blunt and Bill Paxton. To be released June 6th(USA)
22 Jump Street
For anyone who has seen 21 Jump Street, this will come as good news. Funny men Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are back as amateur police officers, who are now on an undercover mission at a local college. Directed by Phill Lord and Chris Miller. Releasing June 13th(USA)
The Judge
Hollywood’s favourite comeback actor Robert Downey Jr. takes a break from playing an ironclad superhero, to play a regular lawyer. Upon attending his mother’s funeral, Downey’s character discovers his wide, a judge, in the main suspect in her mother. Directed by David Dobkin, also stars Vera Farmiga and Leighton Meester. Releasing October 10th(USA)
