Create Your Own Holiday Decor With These Easy Ideas
The holiday season is here. It’s time to deck the halls with beautiful holiday decorations. holidays time is also a chance to showcase your home, inside and out, through your holiday décor. It’s a magical time, indoors and outdoors, making your home a cozy place to celebrate the holidays with friends and family. Whether you’re bringing home a holidaystree and decorating it with ornaments or placing stockings on top of the fireplace, it’s time to join in on the holiday cheer.
Here are some tips to decorate your home for the holidays.
Offer welcome gifts
Make your guests feel special with welcome gifts. You can offer treats like candy canes or hot cocoa or chai mix to your guests by hanging coffee mugs filled with the goodies on a banister garland on your staircase. You can also hang these gifts by the mantle near the fire before the guests arrive.
Choose a mini table tree
You need not always bring in a grandiose holiday tree to decorate your home. Instead, you can place several mini trees throughout your home. In this example, the holiday tree is on the table at the centre of the living room. The mini tree will add depth to the living room and add layers to your interior decorations.
Decorate your porch
You can light up wicker baskets with a strong glass insert and a wire handle, filling them with candles or seasonal flowers. You can even hang these baskets from a bracket or line the pathway to your front door with them. This idea is so versatile that it works both indoors and outdoors. For Christmas, you can add ivy and rosemary to give the baskets a holiday feel. But you can also use this decoration all year round.
Create a winter wonderland
You can create a simple yet stunning centrepiece by taking silver tea service pieces and topping them with a crystal garland and a snowflake ornament. Not only will the centre table look gorgeous, but this piece is also simple to put together. You only need a white cake platter topped with a cloche.
