The wait for the one of the first films of 2016 is almost at an end. We're only six days until the release of Ho Mann Jahaan. The Pakistani film is expected to be one of the most entertaining flicks of the new year.

And why wouldn’t it be? Releasing on January 1st, 2016, Ho Mann Jahaan features the beautiful and talented Mahira Khan alongside fellow Pakistanis Sheheryar Munawar and Adeel Hussain. Veteran actress Sonya Jehan will be playing a critical role in the movie as well. Rumour has it that Fawad Khan will be making a cameo, which will be an added bonus for all the cross-border fans who fell for him after he starred in Khoobsurat.

Ho Mann Jahaan is a coming-of-age story that revolves around three main characters — Arhan (Sheheryar), Manizeh (Mahirah) and Nadir (Adeel). Their friendship stems from their shared passion for music, their life experiences and their aspirations for fame. The film is slated to have many layers — it's not just about music and close-knit friendships!
The Pakistani film will also reflect the dichotomy between thought and action. We readily accept conformity even though we talk of free will. Also, you can expect an exploration of how parents' restrictions on their children's lives can be a poor translation of love and how they make room for failure to fully understand children.
Leading lady Mahira Khan recently spoke with The Express Tribune in an interview and dished out some information about the film.

“Obviously, we can’t give away the conflict which is important in any storyline. But I think from the trailer you can tell that it’s about three people who want to be musicians but their parents are not supportive. One parent says you can’t bring an artist home; the other says music is not good. So, you understand what’s happening,” she said.“There’s opposition. Then there is friendship. But essentially, the film is about three friends and what happens in their lives during a year, year-and-a-half period.”
By watching the trailer, we can tell this film will have the audience connected. It looks like it will be easy to relate to the story of the free-spirited individuals going through life's challenges and obstacles. With funny dialogues, catchy music and some Pakistani talent, Ho Mann Jahaan is sure to be a hit and a must-watch for younger and older generations alike.
