Priyanka Chopra And Zayn Malik Top The Sexiest Asian Men And Women’s Lists

Priyanka Chopra and Zayn Malik aced the Top 50 Sexiest Asian Women and Men lists published annually by British newspaper Eastern Eye.
We asked the publication's entertainment editor and list founder, Asjad Nazir, what's behind the winners' sex appeal. He explained the process and voters' outlook: "The really interesting aspect about 50 Sexiest Asian Men and Women list is that in the first year it started off with us in house listing the hottest looking men and women. Then as voter numbers increased there was a dramatic shift. Although there are still some pin ups there, it became a celebration of inner beauty and a list of relatable individuals."
A winner at the Miss World beauty pageant and a leading star in Bollywood, Chopra became an even bigger global icon through her singing career and American TV series, Quantico. Nazir sees this success as the defining factor for her massive popularity. "What makes her special is her incredible and undeniable international appeal. She has developed a multi-cultural fan base, so has loads of non Asians voting for her, which makes a difference," he explains.
In a statement after her win, Chopra commented, "A piece of advice to the ladies — it's all in the mind. Remember, sexy is as sexy does."

Bollywood's leading actresses Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone also ranked among the top five. Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, who's making her debut in Bollywood alongside Shah Rukh Khan next year, ranked tenth. Many television stars dominated the list, including Sanaya Irani, Drashti Dhami and Nia Sharma.
The 22-year old Zayn Malik is the youngest person ever to top the list. He took to Twitter to express his gratitude, writing, "Big thanks to the magazine and everyone who voted." The British-Pakistani singer and songwriter disappointed fans when he announced his decision to quit his band One Direction earlier this year. But shortly after, he signed a solo recording contract.

Others in the sexiest list include Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan, Pakistani singer-actor Ali Zafar, TV star Barun Sobti, sportsman Virat Kohli and singer Atif Aslam.
