From Beauty Masterclasses To Glamorous Soirées: Inside LANGTON PR’s Biggest Diwali Celebration Yet
Culture Nov 05, 2026
LANGTON PR’s expanded Love & Light festivities brought together South Asian creators, media personalities, entrepreneurs and beauty brands for two days of cultural celebration.
Toronto’s Diwali celebrations received an extra dose of glamour this year as LANGTON PR transformed its annual Love & Light festivities into an immersive two-day affair, bringing together some of the city’s most influential names in beauty, entertainment, media and business.
Held October 27–28, 2026, at ICON Studio in Toronto, the celebration was hosted by LANGTON PR Inc., led by President and CEO Daniel Pillai, with POND’S as presenting partner and ANOKHI LIFE as Official Media Partner.
Under the theme Our Collective Spark, the festivities expanded beyond the traditional Diwali party format to introduce three distinct experiences: the inaugural LANGTON Diwali Beauty Studio Powered by POND’S, an exclusive LANGTON Diwali Soirée, and the second annual LANGTON Love & Light Diwali Social Presented by POND’S.
Together, the events celebrated South Asian heritage, beauty innovation, entrepreneurship and the power of community, with plenty of festive fashion, indulgent experiences and memorable moments along the way.
“For so long, our stories were boxed in or treated as an afterthought in mainstream spaces.” said Langton PR President & CEO, Daniel Pillai. What we’re doing is rewriting that narrative—celebrating our culture not just as a trend, but as a vibrant, living force that drives modern lifestyle and entertainment. When we come together to honor our roots, our joy, and our community, we aren’t just throwing a party; we’re taking up space unapologetically and showing the next generation what true representation looks like.”
“For over two decades, ANOKHI has been the heartbeat of South Asian representation, championing our stories when mainstream spaces wouldn’t. Having them as our media partner to amplify these celebrations makes it all the more powerful—because honoring our culture isn’t just about throwing a party, it’s about amplifying the legacy and the voices that paved the way.”
DAY 1: The Inaugural LANGTON Diwali Beauty Studio Powered By POND’S
The celebrations kicked off on Tuesday, October 27, with the debut of the LANGTON Diwali Beauty Studio, an intimate beauty experience that brought together skincare, makeup artistry, wellness and festive glamour.
Hosted by renowned makeup artist and on-air beauty expert Shobana Lakkavally, the two-part masterclass took guests through the essentials of creating radiant, long-lasting Diwali looks, beginning with one of South Asian beauty’s most nostalgic skincare staples: POND’S.
The spotlight was on the brand’s iconic Cold Cream Cleanser, a product that has remained a fixture in South Asian households for generations and has recently experienced renewed popularity among younger beauty enthusiasts.
Guests explored cleansing and skin preparation using POND’S Cold Cream Make-Up Remover and Refreshing Cleanser, Q-tips 100% Cotton Facial Towels and POND’S Dry Skin Cream before moving into festive makeup artistry.
Lakkavally demonstrated beauty techniques and customized lip looks featuring Vasanti Cosmetics, while wellness consultant Amrit Singh introduced guests to traditional hair oiling and scalp massage rituals.
The experience also featured beauty and wellness offerings from Fable & Mane, Clairol and Auracle, blending modern beauty innovations with time-honoured South Asian self-care traditions.
To complete their transformations, guests stepped in front of the camera for personalized editorial portraits captured by photographer Osato Erebor, showcasing their finished festive looks.
For POND’S, the partnership was also an opportunity to celebrate its longstanding connection with South Asian consumers.
“For generations, POND’S has held a cherished place on the vanities of South Asian households—passed down through mothers, grandmothers, and daughters as a trusted ritual of care,” said Aruna Punn, Marketing Lead of POND’S.

DAY 1: The Exclusive LANGTON Diwali Soirée Brings Industry Tastemakers Together
As the sun set on October 27, the celebration shifted from beauty education to an evening of festive elegance and industry networking at the exclusive LANGTON Diwali Soirée.
Curated by Daniel Pillai, the invitation-only gathering brought together personalities from television, film, music, fashion, media and beauty, creating an opportunity for meaningful connections and conversations within Toronto’s South Asian creative community.
Among the notable attendees were ANOKHI LIFE Founder and CEO Raj Girn, musician and entertainer Rup Magon, media personality Meera Estrada and beauty expert Shobana Lakkavally, who shared glimpses of the evening’s festivities across social media.
The soirée also celebrated South Asian entrepreneurship through interactive experiences from Auracle, which offered luxury ear seeding, and KUL Creamery, which treated guests to an indulgent ice cream bar.
Food was another highlight of the evening, with The Host Fine Indian Cuisine bringing its celebrated culinary heritage to the festivities.
Founded by Sanjeev Sethi, the renowned restaurant group has spent decades championing authentic Indian fine dining in the Greater Toronto Area. Now led by the next generation, with son Ashish Sethi taking the helm, The Host continues to honour its culinary roots while introducing a contemporary vision.
For Raj Girn, whose ANOKHI LIFE served as Official Media Partner, the celebration represented more than a glamorous social gathering.
“For over two decades, ANOKHI has championed the visibility, commercial power, and cultural evolution of the South Asian diaspora, and what Daniel and the LANGTON team have built with this two-day celebration is a masterclass in authentic cultural alignment,” said Girn.
“By weaving together legacy global brands, South Asian–founded disruptors, and the powerhouse talent shaping media and entertainment today, LANGTON isn’t just hosting an event—they are elevating the standard for how mainstream industries engage with and celebrate our community.”

DAY 2: The LANGTON Love & Light Diwali Social Delivers A Glamorous Grand Finale
The celebrations continued on Wednesday, October 28, with the second annual LANGTON Love & Light Diwali Social Presented by POND’S, bringing the two-day festivities to a vibrant close.
The flagship event welcomed creators, entrepreneurs, media personalities and invited community guests for an evening filled with beauty discoveries, festive entertainment, South Asian flavours and immersive brand experiences.
With a curated gifting lounge, interactive beauty stations, traditional mehndi, festive accessories and music, the celebration offered guests plenty of opportunities to indulge in the spirit of Diwali.
POND’S took centre stage with skincare experiences highlighting its signature Cold Cream Cleanser and moisturizing products, while a diverse roster of beauty and lifestyle brands introduced guests to everything from hair care and makeup to wellness and festive gifting.
The beauty experiences included St. Ives’ body care offerings, customized lip colour matching by Vasanti Cosmetics, Clairol root touch-ups, salon-quality products from Wella Professionals, and nail colours from OPI.
Fable & Mane brought its Ayurvedic-inspired hair and body care, while Ghlee showcased nourishing ghee-based lip treatments.
Beyond beauty, guests could accessorize their festive ensembles with custom-fitted bangles from Banglez, enjoy intricate mehndi designs by Breath of Henna, and explore culturally inspired gifts from Culture Market Co.
Atmana Spa introduced guests to rejuvenating head spa and self-care rituals, while OG Ghee highlighted the traditional South Asian ingredient’s culinary and wellness heritage.
And because no Diwali celebration is complete without delicious food and sweets, the evening delivered an impressive assortment of culinary treats.
The Host Fine Indian Cuisine, led by Ashish Sethi, served an elevated selection of South Asian delicacies and artisanal mithai, while Velour Coffee Cart kept guests refreshed with masala chai and ceremonial matcha.
Happy Pops and Tropical Treets offered frozen desserts, complemented by beverages from Greenhouse Juice Co., Drink Tamasha and Ginny.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, DARGAN kept the celebration moving with South Asian fusion, Desi beats and global rhythms, while photographer Osato Erebor captured guests in their Diwali finery.
The evening’s elaborate gifting experience was another highlight, with attendees receiving curated Diwali gift bags valued at more than $500, featuring products from participating beauty, wellness and lifestyle brands.
The event also welcomed community winners, extending the festivities beyond the industry guest list and creating an opportunity for more members of Toronto’s South Asian community to take part in the celebrations.

Celebrating Culture, Community And The Power Of Connection
While the glamour, beauty experiences and festive celebrations provided plenty of memorable moments, the larger message behind LANGTON PR’s expanded Diwali programming was one of cultural connection and representation.
By bringing established global beauty brands together with South Asian-founded businesses, creators and industry leaders, the two-day celebration highlighted the growing influence of the South Asian community across Canada’s beauty, entertainment and lifestyle industries.
The festivities were supported by a wide network of partners, including POND’S, The Host Fine Indian Cuisine, ICON Studio Space, Simply Gorgeous Designs, The Rosarium Luxury Roses, Pixel Production, Designer Dance Floors, Mirror Mirror Activations, Osato Erebor, Damindu Singith and North Mile Films, alongside the participating experience and gifting partners.
With ANOKHI LIFE as Official Media Partner, the celebration also reinforced the importance of platforms that amplify South Asian voices, businesses and cultural achievements.
As LANGTON’s Love & Light celebration continues to evolve, its 2026 edition demonstrated how Diwali can be celebrated not only as a cherished cultural tradition but also as a powerful opportunity to bring communities, brands and creative industries together.
