Floriana IIFA Awards 2011 To Make Its Canadian Debut Live On Pay Per View

Toronto, ON (May 26, 2011) —Tickets for India’s most prestigious award ceremony, held by the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA), sold out within minutes of being announced. But now, for the first time ever, fans of Indian cinema will be able to watch the event live on Pay Per View, from the comfort of their own homes.
The Floriana IIFA Awards will take place as part of the CIBC IIFA Celebrations in Toronto, with a variety of companion ‘Buzz’ events taking over the GTA, transforming them to reflect the vibrancy of Bollywood and Indian culture. IIFA is the first of its kind, created to promote Indian cinema globally, and it will now be the first ever to present an award ceremony live in the Pay Per View format.
The collaboration between Wizcraft and OMNI Television, the official Canadian broadcast partner of IIFA 2011, will bring this celebration of Indian Cinema and culture, in unprecedented style, to television screens across Canada, and around the globe. The North American debut of IIFA is the largest of its kind to date, and will showcase the glitz and glamour of Bollywood. Now in its 12th year, IIFA will be available live on Pay Per View for the very first time, available for everyone to enjoy.
For $39.95, Canadian subscribers can enjoy IIFA live on Saturday, June 25, and take part in the historic arrival of IIFA to North America. To see IIFA live, viewers should contact their local cable or DTH satellite provider, or access the event and order the event from the on-screen guide.
