The Mindy Project Gets Some Added Spice
Mindy knows the spice is right and her show is about to get some extra flavour.
The Mindy Project is to star not one, not two, but three new South Asian faces! Filming for Season 4 of the show began yesterday and we couldn't be more thrilled. Mindy tweeted:
This season, we finally get to meet the rest of the Lahiris. Ajay Mehta and Sakina Jaffrey will be appearing on the show as Mindy’s parents. Ajay Mehta is an accomplished actor with shows like Anger Management with Charlie Sheen and Modern Family under his belt. Sakina Jaffrey appears on the acclaimed House of Cards with Kevin Spacey. Sakina confirmed on Twitter:
Also, it comes as no surprise that Mindy's favourite gal pal, Frieda Pinto, will be joining in on the fun. Frieda Pinto, celebrated actress of Slumdog Millionaire, is guest-starring on the season premiere of the show.
The scoop is that Frieda Pinto will play Danny's love interest! Fret not, Mindy + Danny fans, it's an alternate reality episode and the beloved couple will still be together. Hulu hasn't yet announced a premiere date, but we sure can’t wait for The Mindy Project to start again!
