Karl Lagerfeld “Fire Etchings” Opens At Galerie Gmurzynska St. Moritz

An exhibition of new unique works by Karl Lagerfeld, in a brand new medium; forming the artist's answer to contemporary portraiture.
Galerie Gmurzynska is pleased to announce the exhibition, Karl Lagerfeld: Fire Etchings; a unique and new body of artwork by one of the great renaissance personalities of our time.
Lagerfeld will display a body of work created from backlit glass that has had its image etched into the surface by fire. The works combine a brand new medium, for art and the artist, with Lagerfeld's iconic photography talent. Large scale and unique, the exhibition focuses on images Lagerfeld has abstracted of some of his current muses: the rapper, Theophilus London; and the models, Freja Beha Erichsen and Aymeline Valade.
Together these pieces create Lagerfeld's answer to contemporary portraiture.
