Alexander Wang Collaborates With H&M

Fashion Apr 16, 2014

H&M announces their next collaboration to be with designer Alexander Wang.

The news was made public at the recent Coachella Music festival, in Palm Springs. Wang made his first official post to the brand’s Instagram account last Sunday night. This partnership will mark the first time that H&M has teamed up with an American designer since its launch of designer limited edition collaborations.

The New York based fashion designers brand has established itself as ever evolving, re-contextualizing the urban uniform, since its debut in 2007. Known to focus on contrasts, he unites both the refined and the imperfect –  a fresh outlook on fashion.

The Alexander Wang and H&M collection will feature clothing and accessories for both men and women. Typical for his approach to fashion, Wang will propose a new take on the lifestyle product offering what goes beyond fashion.

The full collection will be made available in 250 H&M stores worldwide starting Nov. 6, 2014.

“Alexander Wang is one of the most important voices in fashion today. He understands exactly what people want to wear and does it with an energy and passion that’s infectious. It feels incredible to be collaborating with him this year,” stated Margareta van den Bosch, H&M’s Creative Advisor.

Wang follows in the footsteps of the French designer Isabel MarantKarl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Matthew Williamson, Versace, Lanvin and Marni.
