Message From The CEO: Progress

PROGRESS

The bustling hustle of life can sometimes be overwhelming and almost detrimental to clear thought and vision because it leaves no room to let in new perspectives, thus we stay stuck in something that may not serve our higher purpose. I’ve experienced this of late with one side of me being completely consumed with the business of media (the formula) and the other side being completely consumed with the purpose of media (the service).

With ANOKHI MEDIA now having entered its 13th year working the formula and serving the community, I’m thankful that we are in a position, thanks to the continued support of our community and our corporate clients, that both the business and the purpose of media equally help to keep the momentum of the brand moving forward. My role is always to ensure that we are walking a parallel line between the business side and the purposefulness of it all. As I continue to balance and curate an ongoing symbiotic and organic relationship between them both with my team, I NEVER forget why ANOKHI MEDIA has made such an indelible mark in pop culture in North America since its launch in 2002, becoming and remaining the benchmark by which the contributions of the South Asian community are identified. In a word: progress. I am, and will remain, a firm believer in the words of George Bernard Shaw who said: “Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.

Duly, I’m pleased to share with you all that as we continue to remain relevant to you and your respective lives, ANOKHI MEDIA is launching a re-design of its website www.AnokhiMedia.com and its celebrity blog www.OpenChest.com this month, in time to honour South Asian Heritage Month in Canada.

And for those of you who don’t know why I started the brand all those years ago and what, in a nutshell, progress has been for us, here’s a look . . .

And always remember to Be UNIQUE. Be ANOKHI.
