Celebrity Style Alert: Coveting Cool Crops

Jul 13, 2015

Whether sophisticated-chic or street swagger–cool, the cropped jacket reigns as the season’s go-to layer.

From Bollywood to Hollywood, award shows to fashion shows, we catch the stars hitting up red carpets in the coolest crops.

Gigi Hadid

One of the hottest young models of today made her 2015 Much Music Video Awards red carpet debut in a custom collaboration with Mikhael Kale, which featured her surname on the back, hashtag style.

 Sonam Kapoor

And, of course, along with the hottest new trends you’ll always find a fashionista strutting it first. Sonam paid homage to the British designer label Burberry by attending the Men’s SS/16 show in a classic neutral-hue cropped trench.

 Hannah Davis

The Sports Illustrated model showed off her svelte physique by having the crop layer as a cover-up for the black cross-shaped bra top by Donna Karan at the 2015 fragrance foundation awards in NYC.

Sonakshi Sinha

The Bollywood darling demonstrated how you can revive the twin set staple by revamping the concept with today’s cropped piece for an updated version, seen here with this military-hued Nikhil Thampi ensemble.

 Jacqueline Fernandez

The Sri Lankan actress hit up the green carpet at the 2015 IIFA awards in Malaysia wearing a dreamy Anamika Khanna outfit that featured a sheer cropped cape with delicate appliqué fit for an Indian princess.
