London – Iheartfashion: Music Meets Fashion

Jun 15, 2013

On April 1, in London, England’s Bush Hall, iheartfashion limited presented Music Meets Fashion, in support of Leukemia & Lymphoma research. The Exclusive Champagne Reception hosted buyers from exclusive design houses such as Burberry, Diesel, Levis, Top Shop and many more were among the attendees of the show.

The evening also had a very special guest—Eritrea’s Ambassador Tesfa-Michael Gerahtu was also amongst the crowd. The energetic event showcased some of Britian’s up-and-coming musical stars, such as Jerome, AK, Olly Hite and Owen Cutts. The music served as the perfect backdrop to the runway shows. First on the catwalk was designer Seroge with the Desert Rose collection that featured a Middle Eastern-infused line with feminine pieces accented by masculine lines done in heavy fabrics. Polaroid Sunglasses added sunglasses to the models to add that next level of attitude to the Seroge show. Next to show was Sophia Brown London, with vintage-inspired cocktail dresses and feminine dresses. Hats of Hoxton added a little British flair to the Sophia Brown London by adding cute hats to match the outfits.

Third to hit the runway was José Hendo with her Japanese- influenced line that featured sexy silhouettes, created out of organics, showing that being stylish can also reduce the carbon footprint. Zekaryas Solomon showed his debut collection simply entitled me. The collection showed a different side of men’s clothes with draping, puffing and hidden buttons. Lastly to run the catwalk was Dublin’s Emmy Slattery collection. The pieces were edgy and unique showing the perfect reason why she was the recipient of the Nokia Young Designer of the Year Award. The runway shows and musical performances were the highlight of a grand evening in support of a dear cause.
