Freida Pinto Makes Her Debut In Bollywood.

Four years after making her big screen debut in Slumdog Millionaire, Freida Pinto is headed to make another big step, this time in the Hindi film arena with her first Bollywood project. The buzz hit media early this year and recently sources have been leaking out new information.

According to the timesofindia.indiatimes.com Freida had expressed her keen interest to work with Vikramaditya Motwane, especially after hearing how his film, Udaan had received critical acclaim.

bollywood.celebden.com reports that the untitled project will be a revenge drama where the actress will play a strong female lead.

"Freida has been offered roles by several Bollywood film-makers, but she was looking for a strong woman-centric character," a source close to Freida said." She was offered the script in January and she liked it a lot. Things will get final once she visits India in mid-March," the source added.

Newcommer to the big screen, Kai Po Che star Rajkumar Yadav is one lucky devil, as if the success of his recent film wasn't enough, the actor has bagged himself the love interest role opposite Pinto in this anticipated drama.

"Now all eyes are on Freida as this film with Navdeep Singh and Vikramaditya Motwane will be her first Hindi project. Raj Kumar has made a mark for himself with Kai Po Che!. In fact, the makers were waiting for its release before they could announce theirs."

It looks like Indian fans wishes will be a reality as the model turned Hollywood actress will return to the motherland for part of the filmmaking.
