From August 20 to 23, downtown Chicago witnessed the extravagant wedding of a South Asian Hollywood power couple. Gaurav Misra, co-owner and president of Brian Graden Media and ANOKHI Sexy & Successful alum, married Sapna Vyas, an executive at Lifetime, a premier female-focused television network. Gaurav, a Harvard Business School graduate and an Emmy Award-winning TV and film producer, met Vyas a few years ago in Los Angeles and they got engaged last summer in Paris. The high profile wedding had top chefs, photographers, celebrities, family and friends flying in from all over the world. The wedding ceremony took place at Café Brauer at Lincoln Park Zoo where the menu was Maharaja High Tea with Indianand English-inspired sandwiches and pastries. Brit-Asian music legend Rishi Rich gave a rare musical performance at the wedding reception, which took place at the Fairmont Hotel Millennium Park. Other notable celebrities at the wedding included Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat with her brother Vikram Singh Lamba; Rishi Rich’s wife, Manrina Rekhi; Indian tennis star Prakash Amritraj; Twilight and X-Men actor Edi Gathegi; DJs EC Twins Marc and Allister; MTV host Jason Dundas; and NYC food legends Tim and Nina Zagat. ANOKHI MEDIA was also on the prestigious guest list with president/CEO Raj Girn and vice president of consumer engagement, Monika Bhondy, enjoying the festivities of the four-day event. ANOKHI MEDIA wishes the couple a very happy life together.
